An 80-meter wall thickening restoration at the Rotem Fertilizers plant included a creative design for the method of rehabilitating a concrete wall with a liquid inside the thickener without stopping production.

Due to a very corrosive atmosphere in the area of Facility 20, the presence of phosphate mounds in proximity to the thickening walls, advanced wear and tear of rebars, and concrete were created in the perimeter of the thickening walls.

The condition of the thickener has become dangerous from a safety point of view.

Engineers from our company developed a method of partially drying the perimeter trench inside the thickener and performing the wall's restoration without stopping production from the outside, saving approximately 120 days of production stoppage.

The production chain, due to its shutdown, could have stopped several facilities simultaneously and caused many losses.
